The morning started at 6:30 with the request for food from the two starving beasts. Abby and Diesel scarfed down their delightful entrees.....we're going to have a timed food challenge tonight. So far the odds on favorite seems to be Abby.
Diesel's entree consisted of Purina Pro Plan Salmon.
Abby's gulp consisted of Purina Dog Chow.
Buckley slowly savored his Pedigree Small Chunky Bites.

Dad and I took a nice 2 mile walk this morning. Here's the view of the beach.
After a trip to the store to pick up some items for our non-traditional Thanksgiving meal, Mom, Sharon, and I ventured up to Lone Wolf Jewelry shop for their sale. We found a few items each, and then headed back to the house. For lunch, we enjoyed butt of pork, smoked via cherry wood and accompanied by dill vinegar cole slaw.

Buckley found a fond memory buried a week ago....a rather rancid sand covered soup bone that sent the rest of us away gagging.....
After sunbathing on the deck in shorts and t-shirts, Mom, Sharon, and Kara took Buckley and Diesel to the beach to play in the water. It was a bit cold, but Diesel didn't mind. Kara braved the elements up to her ankles before bailing!

and for Thanksgiving Dinner, we had our traditional non-domestic poultry fare of fried oysters, accompanied by salad, steamed broccoli, and stuffing ala Stove Top, as well as a bottle of Pinot Grigio.

Highlights of the day:
Best food: Dad's fried oysters
Worst food: Buckley's carcass
Favorite activity: reading and sunbathing
Most peaceful time of the day: when the dogs are in their coma induced sleep

Ahh, Dad's fried oysters and we missed that? That beats anything we've had here.
